‘Troubled Youth’ is the new single from UK-based songwriter Joyeria. It’s an instantly memorable track that somehow finds a middle ground between the punchy groove of the drum kit and the subtle softness of the guitar, strings and voice. The chorus is a kaleidoscope of music colour, with swirling synths surrounding his distant, melodic vocal lines. “I’ve spent my entire life trying to be the 12-year-old version of myself. Kind, loving and unashamedly creative,” he says. “I’m not sure what everyone had such a large problem with.
